Better geometry, tweaked structure and more configurations make this vehicle more convincing to drive than ever. And speaking of the Pigeon, everyone's favorite soft-body birdie has received a thorough renovation, bringing it up to the standards set by the latest roster of brand-new and the remastered older automobiles. On the side of content, the plucky Ibishu Pigeon has a new brother in town say hello to the Wigeon, another wobbly three-wheeled contraption dating from the early eighties and sporting a bizarre body shape akin to a wedge of cheese. So not only will you experience enhanced visual quality in BeamNG.drive, you may also receive a potential frame-rate boost from the optimizations promised with the new rendering API that will make these enhanced visuals more accessible to begin with. Underlying these visual advancements is the introduction of a next-generation rendering system, Vulkan, which may eventually properly replace the older DirectX 11 architecture. Packed with a handful of relatively unanticipated additions, perhaps the most notable feature in this update is the addition of physically-based rendering (or PBR) to the game engine, replacing the older layered ( lights + normals) shading techniques used up to this point.
